And Michel was pretty damn effective for the Rams last year

Any rb can run through a hole. I judge rbs by creating yardage when nothing is there and maximizing a situation when given good blocking. Theres a reason Akers was inserted the minute he was back. His talent jumps off the screen. Michel is not that guy.
