Something lost in the offensive struggles: our pass rush isn't good.

Even when we do get pressure they lack the speed to chase the quarterback down.
The only player recently that's a bright spot is Breese.
I think the d-line was getting more help from the secondary before the suspensions and injuries than we realized.

This last game the DEs just ran up the field and out of the play. We used to see Davis be able to blitz and be effective, but we haven’t seen that. It’s a slow 1990s type big boy line with no real athletes.

What I don't get is how the Saints have actually put together good weapons for Carr to use and yet they are so conservative.
in the Titans game there was success.
The Panthers game was a dud passing wise.
and then of course more of the same the last 2 weeks.
That's coaching malpractice at its finest. DA would rather have the offense not take a lot of chances with capable weapons and put most of the burden on the defense to win games. Trouble is we don't have a disruptive pass rusher. The Saints are strong in the secondary, but you can't expect them to hold up each week if they aren't getting any help.
The Green Bay game was a classic example. Love put up garbage numbers and really a few PI calls were the biggest aid in their comeback. But GB doesn't keep throwing if Love had consistent pressure in his face.

Dennis Allen and Carmichael are soft as baby shite. Not too shocking that we’re not aggressive

The titans and panthers have 2 of the weakest olines in football, so we got pressure, the bucs and packers were more average, so we didnt. This is who we are.

Packers had two missing starters too. I wish we had backups like that.

Its what I was expecting to see going into the season. Defense is still very good which goes to show what we’d be able to do if we could get to the quarterback.
