Some positives from the game

So it was a pretty rough loss to take. But there were quite a few positives to build off.
The defense is elite. It’s a super bowl defense. Offense has to catch up.
Alontae Taylor looked solid on the snaps he played.
Pete Werner is a baller. The guy is going to be really good for us for hopefully a long time.
Olave made some mistakes but that kid is a burner. He beat anybody they put on him down the field. It should have been 17-0 at half but Winston was off just a little bit on those two throws. I think he is going to be really good for us as he develops.
Our offensive line actually played really well for a lot of the game. The Bucs defense is legit. We ran the ball really well all game.
Michael Thomas is still Michael Thomas. That sideline catch was a beauty.
The offense is way too predictable at times. The playcalling needs to improve in certain situations. I’m not sure if PC is our long term answer at OC but we shall see.
Winston played solid until that pick on the deep pass. And then it just started snowballing. Some of that was Winston just trying to make something in a game that was pretty much over. But he’s got to make better decisions at critical moments in the game. Hopefully healing up this week will help also. Not sure how much his injury impacted him but the report was that it would be good by next week.
Fortunately we have Carolina next so that should be a good game to get back on track.

The Bucs are a good defense. You do realize Brady had about the same numbers through three quarters? I guess Brady is trash too?
I know it’s hard for people like you to understand but there are two teams out there playing and the team you are playing against does try to stop you.

It’s painful for most fans to watch us try time and time again, to connect with Olave today, but these reps they took today are going to pay off later down the road. They were necessary and is how the process works.

You’re gonna catch a lot of shite for saying this, but you’re right. Jameis wasn’t as bad as this board thinks. Most of these people have just been waiting for an opportunity to trash Jameis. Those last two picks were mostly garbage picks than anything. In those situations, you’re forced to try and make something happen.

Yeah I mean I have issues with some of what Winston did but seeing him actually check the ball down is a big step for me. If Kamara is playing at least one of those check downs to the backs is breaking for a big gain.
Half our offense wasn’t starting here last year. Our top 3 receivers did not play a single snap for the Saints last season. I saw some improvements from on last week especially on the offensive line. The defense also drastically improved from last week.
There are things that can be fixed and the Saints are going to be just fine.

Even if you take the garbage time picks out, Winston was not “fine”
He was very obviously impacted by his back in the first half and was really inaccurate all day

The bucs defense isn't anywhere close to as good as the Saints. They also don't have as good of receivers as we do with Godwin being out. Our front 7 wreaked havoc with the bucs nearly all game while Winston had all of the time in the world.
Also holy frick at you trying to compare Winston to Brady. When Winston gets a ring....then you're more than welcome to compare the two.

I mean he played identical to Brady stat wise up until the very end. The Bucs are one of the best defenses in the NFL. It’s amazing how this objectivity you claim to have doesn’t think about any of these basic things

You should stop posting. It’s getting embarrassed. Not really sure why this is complicated for you. They had almost identical stats until that deep pick by winston. This isn’t debatable. It’s a fact.

The 45 year old Brady had a Saints defender in his face for 3 and a half quarters.

Are you really trying to claim the Bucs defense isn’t good? Did you watch the game. The Bucs shutdown the cowboys last week too. But I wouldn’t expect you to actually know what’s going on in the nfl based off your comments. You really should stop.
