So we promoted Allen b/c we didn’t want to mess with our great defense.

Well now the defense is awful along with the offense so what in the frick are we doing here? Fire his arse right now! I would send a staffer to the sidelines with a note telling him to get the frick out immediately. He’s the guy who wanted Carr and convinced Loomis to give him $150 million to be Andy Dalton.

They promoted a career loser to maintain a winning culture…it makes perfect sense if you don’t think about it

Meh, there weren’t many options. About the only thing we couldn’t do was start crab legs again.

Something’s gotta change though, and fast.

They promoted Allen because Sean and Loomis looked out for their boy. The other people who interviewed for the head coach position had no shot.

I wasn’t a fan, but I understood the continuity aspect. That ship has sailed. It’s over with this staff.

Continue what though?

Your HOF QB was gone and your offensive minded HC was leaving. It was time to reboot, they refused to accept the reality of it

We would have made the playoffs in Payton’s last season if we didn’t have to start 4 QBs and have 20+ players sit out due to Covid, etc.

I can see the organization saying, that’s what happened, but we’ve been relative the last 15 seasons and prefer to rely on that, compared to just shake it up.
