Shockey pullin' a Brooks...

Did anyone else notice that Shockey had a goofy arse grin on his face after every play. Everytime that he dropped a pass, fell down, or screwed up he was smiling from ear to ear. Reminded me so much of Brooks. I wanted to choke that bastard with Drew's visor.

brooks was different. he laughed when throwing picks. at least shockeys not turning the ball over anymore. also, i would rather him laugh than get pissed off and play like shite. any good sign is something to be happy about especially with miller going down.
anybody got the word on his knee? it looked fricked up on slow motion.

How about the dropped TD
Guess that was funny
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this
I didn't see Colston laugh after his 4-drops

I thought the same thing...he would drop a pass and be smiling when he got up....Of course I would rather that then him and Brees fighting again on the sideline

throwing a pick does not equal dropping a pass. i agree that that was a catchable ball and while it wouldve been a touchdown i didnt see a lot of other drops that blatant. devery dropped a sure touchdown too and nobodies ripping him. colston dropped more. i understand that colston is coming off an injury. seriously some of you people are going to nitpick every single thing shockey does from now on since he got off to a bad start. cut the dude a break. at least he didnt catch it and then fumble. at least he isnt injured again leaving us with one TE.
all i am saying is it could be worse.

my thoughts exactly.

There was no difference in what Brooks did and what Shockey did. BTW Shockey is a big bitch and it has nothing to do with him smiling, I've got no problem with smiling after a drop.

i am not disputing that he has acted like a bitch so far, but you gotta get used to seeing him. hopefully he can step it up especially with the writing on the wall from SP.

I said the same thing but it was like he was doing it to Drew as they went through some things this week and it was an inside, I cant believe it kinda thing. Either way, after the first two times, it was time for him to stop and be upset that we didnt get a first.

Other than the drop that most likely wouldve been a TD, there were a couple other catches that were close to getting first downs. One of which was thrown behind him. I would rather him laugh that one off then start mouthing off to drew as drew should be afforded some mistakes. Regardless, I am just happy we won and didn't have any meltdowns in a tenuous game. It was a good sign that shockey may be taking it seriously and starting to coalesce with the offense.
Pure speculation here, but coming in i think shockey thought he was gonna be top dog. i am really glad drew put him in his place after last week. as a result he may realize that its not the jeremy shockey show and that he is going to have to put his ego aside and show some mettle.

You're thinking about Campbell, unless another freak knee bending the wrong way injury happened to Miller late in the game.

i guess it was campbell. either way it looked bad. he would be lucky to have just torn a meniscus. i wish him the best.

stop hating on Shockey!!! everyone that is talking shite about him now will be all over him when he helps the saints win next year. he has been hurt all year so dont act like that isnt a big part of why he has struggled.

This whole smiling thing has gotten thrown way out of proportion. He admitted the play was his fault and smiled as to say "my bad". The only thing with Shockey's smile that is similar with Brooks' is that it was a smile. Shockey doesn't play like a little girl like Brooks did and then go to the sideline and joke around on the bench.
