we might get slaughtered that game. their fans have really stepped up - opening day will be tough in that stadium with a style team (physical) that we typically struggle against.

I might look into going out there actually.
The only road games I've ever seen the Saints play were @ ATL in 2003 and 2004, @ Tampa Bay 2008 (rained), and @ Jacksonville in 2003.
need to broaden the horizons I guess.

its just tougher to get into the game like it was when I was in the early 20's years.
you know.
back when I went those away games I just viewed the game differently.
but, Arizona would be a cool place to go right? I mean compared to sitting around the house or going to a bar in Mobile right?
well, yeah thats a no brainer.
but you suggest not going because you think might lose? hey dude, I sat there and watched Carney miss an extra point after the Saints pulled off a miracle play before that.
I know I could handle any outcome in Arizona.
did you have a bad experience there or something?

Maybe the Zona area posters.

Stadium is nice, but the Phx area isn't exactly worth visiting IMO.
The actual stadium is way out in Glendale, about 30 min (or more, depending on traffic) west of downtown Phx. Scottsdale is fun to go out in to a degree (although still pretentious and douchey as hell for being located in AZ), but that is 30 min or more EAST of Phx, totally opposite end of Glendale.
Phoenix just doesn't have it figured out yet.

4 buddies and I are going. Flying in Thursday morning. Staying at the Phoenician and golfing Thursday and Friday.

I was disappointed in Phoenix - for some reason there isn't much to do downtown (despite being right next to one of the better party campuses in America, having three major league franchises there) and instead the nightlife is (for some dumb reason) in a fricking suburb and the nightclubs are literally housed in strip malls. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. They should have built the football stadium downtown and condos and urban development would have followed.
So you have to worry about DUI's and shite when you go out - such a poorly laid out metropolis.

This statement is not too farfetched as I have seen nothing in training camp thus far to make me optimistic.

You've got it, Winston. It's just a sprawling metropolis area that has all of it's best parts spread out too far away from each other. And yes, that has got to be the most BORING downtown I've ever been in. I moved downtown my second year living there because I thought it would be cool, but it was a huge let down. Just nothing to do around there. It's just a boring, bland city.

There's a big Saints party at The Shouthouse Saturday before the game.

Cards fans are like politicians - all talk and not there when the team is down. They'll crawl outta the woodwork right now.
I live in the Phoenix metro area but won't pay that sort of money and deal with that type of fan when I can watch it at home and thoroughly view the game.
As a Saints fan there is going to be an awful lot to see and digest during this first game with all the new faces.

I should be there
What section is everyone sitting? I'm having wavering thoughts about which section to buy.

It's a vacation destination! Do you like the outdoors? How can you not enjoy the Phoenix area (other than mid summer)?
