Well it wasn’t today dumbass.

If we met in person, I would probably slap your teeth down your throat. But I digress....

Staying on football......How could you guarantee the Saints would score if Smith took a knee at the 1? Are the Saints 100% in scoring TD's when in the red zone this year? Do the Saints not have the ability to fumble?

You would be on here bitching and moaning if Smith took a knee at the 1 and then the Saints failed to punch it in. Smart guy, you go down at the 1 or wherever you like if you need a FG to win but not if you need a TD. Go look up the winning % of each scenario. That's what coaches at the elite level go by. When they scored their last TD, I'm guessing you could tell what was going to happen? You knew it would be 4th and 2 and things would go as they did?

At this point it’s a risk I want Payton and the saints to take. frick the defense in the final minute of any big game.

Agreed. I know it's not guaranteed. There could be a fumble or an INT but at this point I'm tired of seeing our defense lose us important games.

I'd rather switch it up and see Payton risk it with the offense.

We lost cuz we couldn’t tackle a screen pass to the TE.

I'll take the risk because at least we have a chance with the offense. We have NO CHANCE with the defense.

Just so you know, I watched this game at a Saints bar in Florida. I was disgusted and left the bar immediately after the TD was scored. Just followed the final part of the game on my phone.

Do you know why I did that? Because I already knew the outcome, I know we were going to lose. I knew there was no way we would have any chance to stop them on defense.

I've seen this whole story before so yes I did know what was going to happen.

If we had taken a knee at the 1 though I don't know what would happen. And that's the point, I would actually have hope that we would win!!!

If he doesnt go for the 1st 2pt try early in game(WHY), we dont need it at the end and we have a 3pt lead. Not that if would have mattered but almost every time ive seen 2pt try before the end of the game, it always comes back to bite u

I know what was guaranteed. That our defense, a defense that hadn't stopped the 49ers all game lone, would not be able to stop the 49ers from getting the winning FG.

I don't trust the D at all. However, Kamara already fumbled earlier so that's also a real possibility. Losing like we did, a HC will still have a job. If Smith took a knee at the 1 and we failed to score a TD, that's what get coaches fired.

No, CSP wouldn't have been fired but it just speaks as to how bad the decision would've been. And I like how everybody loves our offense but not too many games ago they were the unit that was struggling. The Falcons had Saints fans questioning if Brees should retire and let Teddy take over.

I'd be more inclined to fire CSP over making the same mistakes over and over again late in the game than I would for taking a risk and changing it up.

I would've had more respect for CSP if Smith had gone down at the 1 and he bled the clock, allowing the offense to potentially win the game.

Sure everyone else in the coaching community would've ripped him, but who cares. It would've showed us Saints fans that he's willing to take a chance and more importantly that he's willing to change tactics when something isn't working.

Our defense late in the game is a tactic that doesn't work!!

Not sure what game you were watching but They made multiple stops the second half...and if we cover their number 1 target n short yardage situations we get another stop..
