I don't like the past ghosts of payton and brees being flaunted in our face everywhere.

He is bailing on us and states he would coach again. Some of you are going to have a real hard time when the reality sets in

I think everyone understands and accepts that he will coach again, but the fear was that he’d take a year off to let Dallas part ways with McCarthy and then swoop in. This makes that less likely, assuming Dallas shits the bed again.

Already said numerous times i dont care if he does. But keep acting like a scorned girlfriend.

Any tv deal he takes im sure will be a multi year deal. If he does go on he aint coaching for at least a couple of years

Good, MNF has been the worst NFL production for years now to the point I don’t even watch unless the Saints play. I’d rather the best on the call for FOX, CBS, or NBC (the best imo)

MNF has had a garbage lineup of games for the last like 4 years, I barely even watch it anymore

Hard to see him being good right away in such a high profile speaking role. He never came across as a natural during interviews to me.

I think this is more likely. Bruce Arians only did TV for a year. I see Payton doing the TV thing until McCarthy is fired.

True, but this is a premier, high dollar role he’d be stepping into. Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Arians just a studio analyst? I guess it’s possible, but I don't see Payton leaving the Fox gig after one season.

They should have a pairing again of Drew and CSP in the booth. Buck could use the help and MNF goes back to the three amigos.

"Listen"

I'd have a huge amount of respect for him if he came out swinging but we all know that won't happen. Brees hasn't said a peep about how the NFL raped the Saints for years and neither will SP. I think he'll be better in the booth than Brees though.
