Good article here. Love this city and state and this team despite all the flaws. And Payton is hands down the best coach in our history, love seeing him embrace the city

Great read. I know we have given CSP and the organization a hard time the last few
years, but it’s only because we care so much.
Football means more to the city of New Orleans than in any other city. We’re passionate, and when the Saints are playing well it brings the city together.

Since everyone's back on board I'll be one to say I always criticized everyone who said it was time to move on from Payton. Payton and Brees are the closest thing to Belichick and Brady the NFL has. And Payton is a better offensive mind than Belichick and more so probably the best offensive mind in the NFL.
With a young talented defense the pre-bountygate dynasty could be back. Glad Payton stuck around through all that BS.

Ive always loved the guy even in his 7-9 doldrums. Hes still got one of the better offense minds if not the best in the nfl, has a set of brass balls, is now loaded with talent and he just don't give a frick.

Nice article. Love that coach.
Wish the article would not have hinted at this being a new development. Sean has always been all in. Regardless of what hack journalist wanted.

Over the years there has been a few players that come to the Saints and fall in love with the city. Some get traded and yet come back to retire. There is always in my mind players that I hope will do like the others. The coach is definitely on my list of hopeful positive roll model type citizens that I hope will stay. There are several others I have on my wish list as I am sure you all do.

Anyone who said it is a dumbass. Plain and simple. Sean is a top 5 NFL coach and would have had a job the day the Saints fired him. And we would not have upgraded.
