Why didn’t we do what KC did?
Trade up and get your man
Before somebody else does
Ride Mahomes on the bench for one year
Then trade Drew and get multiple draft picks
Bill Bilichik wanted to trade Tom Brady
Bill Bilichik has the same philosophy as Bill Walsh
Trade, release your players before they start their decline

We don't know how this offense would do with jameis because he was never given the ability to open up the plsybook, make audibles into deep possible deep pass plays because Payton wanted to prove that he could fix jameis " turnovers". Funny Trevor's first 3 plays were passing plays.

Why waste assets to trade up when your guy was right there? The Saints knew Buffalo needed a corner & they were gonna take Lattimore @ #10 before KC called while the Bills were on the clock.
When the Bills were on the clock, the Saints war room was buzzing with excitement because they just knew they were gonna be able to grab Mahomes @ #11. KC blew it all up. What's so hard for you to understand about what happened?

No one was gonna trade multiple draft picks for a declining Drew Brees. You shouldn't have even wasted your time typing that.

This is the only truth in your post. Yes, Bill adopted Walsh's philosophy. Bill openly admits to using many of the philosophies Walsh used.
Walsh's influence on modern football is untouched. The way teams practice, run training camp, prepare on a weekly basis & do walk throughs on in helmets & shorts, all came from Walsh. That doesn't even include his influence that he left with the West Coast offense. Every team uses some sort of version of it in their offensive philosophy.
Belichick has more rings only because he has coached longer. Belichick is the GOAT defensive mind when look at what he did with the Giants & has done with the Patriots. When you consider Super Bowl wins along with his influence on the game, Walsh is the undisputed GOAT in my opinion. He just flamed out too quickly because of his anxiety issues.

They shouldn’t be, they’re great at their jobs. I’m sure you advocated for Orgeron to be hired for LSU. No idea what success looks like.
