Hello Who Dats & Who Datettes and welcome to the Week 5/Game 5 Thread.

Good news: Wil Lutz has the leg strength to hit from 60+ in outdoor stadiums... so his core injury that kept him out all last season seems fully healed. Bad news: a double doink as time expired from 61 last week couldn't get us to overtime.

But the offense showed some ability to look a bit competent with Andy Dalton behind center... actually scoring touchdowns before the game seems wildly out of hand. And with Jameis Winston out for a 2nd straight week, maybe the Red Rifle will have a chance to get into more of a rhythm with the offense now that the team is back on this side of the pond. But all the turnovers must stop now.

However, the defense will have to show the ability to stop a mobile QB in Geno Smith today, something it struggled with against Marcus Mariotta in week 1 (even in a win). For the most part, the defense has done its job in the 1st month of the season in keeping things close to give the offense a chance to get into the game. If there's 2 things the defense needs to do better with that could be even more helpful... more sacks and get more turnovers.
