per rotoworld-

Saints K Garrett Hartley triggered an escalator in his contract, raising his 2013 salary from $734,000 to $2.166 million.
---WTF kinda escalator was that to triple his pay!?!

Jimmy Graham triggered an escalator in his rookie deal, raising his 2013 salary from $575,000 to $1.323 million.
---even at a million+ he's playing for 20% of his market value

Saints FS Malcolm Jenkins triggered an escalator in his rookie deal, raising his 2013 salary from $2.264 million to $2.414 million.
---now this one makes me cuss. Seems like he should have had some de-escaltor clauses for bad angles and arm tackling.

Cut Hartley. Cut Jenkins. I'm sick of those two.

Cut Jenkins.

If we get Reed he may be serviceable as a CB. We don't have many picks or cap money so if we can recycle existing players, we need to do so.

Grambo who would complain.
Jenkins salary if you WANT to keep him is not crazy in todays NFL.
But Hartley? 750k to 2.16 mil?

Dude just

Hartley is under contract for 2 more years @ $1.3 & 1.4mil unless he has some more triggers. $1mil+ to cut him. Not going anywhere.

what a perfect gif goat, the guy even has on a black and gold outfit that slugs him

Fatass Ellis trying to hit an escalator...

Greg Romeus to an escalator...

Malcolm Jenkins to an escalator...
(it looks like he is going somewhere but he's not)

Shanle & Harper on an escalator...

I agree with that. I think some of our players are more talented than they've shown as of late. If we could get a good defensive staff together we might start to see some production from a few of these guys.

Exactly. It sure worked for the 9ers. I guess unlike most, I think our problem is more defensive coaching than players talent, though both played a role in sucking as of late.

found more LINK

Lance Moore, WR - $2.5 million to $2.6 million

Zach Strief, OT - $1.925 million to $2.225 million

$300K more for what? missing 1/4 of the season?

Some of these triggers must be incredibly easy to hit.

ETA: some of these triggers **are obviously** incredibly easy to hit.
