New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Monday that the club has waived DE Braylon Broughton. Broughton, 6-6, 272, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent prior to the 2012 season from Texas Christian University where he was a three-year letterman. Broughton appeared in 40 games for the Horned Frogs, totaling 45 tackles (32 solo), 9.5 stops for a loss, three sacks, three passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one blocked kick.

Drew Brees is off sucking off the jimmy johns of chicago and shite and his teammates are getting cut and losing their jobs. Very sad and his perspective of life is way off.

Makes you wonder why the team felt it necessary to cut him this early into the process (season and career).
I guess since they're moving Will Smith to LB, there was no place for Braylon to move to.

Definitely a numbers game at OLB right now. We had several light DEs(Broughton, Galette, Wilson, Romeus, etc.) that were going to have to move to OLB(along with a draft pick and a few UDFAs) and I guess Broughton wasn't getting it done one way or another.
He must be who we cut to sign that DT the other day(you don't have to cut someone until you file the paperwork). I was just about to ask if anyone saw an under the radar cut from that.

I've never understand why people were drooling over this guy. Yes, he's a very imposing large, dark chocolate man. Besides that, he's never even seen the field.

Payton setting an example. "Wash my car Broughton! It's not shiny enough. You're outta here!!! Lofton tackle that guy. Nice job. You get to stay one more day."

Numbers game and odd man out for sure going into camp. At least they've given him time to sign on with another team prior to camp. Bet the Seahawks pick him up.
