Eagles and Saints game is moving to Fox’s 3:25 game. Was scheduled for Noon, per league source
Confirmed by Chad
The Advocate
NFL has until tomorrow (Tuesday) to flex the Eagles game to SNF or the 3:05pm slot.
NFL Flexible Scheduling 101
-Begins Sunday of Week 5
-In effect during Weeks 5-17
-Up to 2 games may be flexed into Sunday Night between Weeks 5-10
-Only Sunday afternoon games are subject to being moved into the Sunday night window.
-The game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night during flex weeks will be listed at 8:15 p.m. ET.
-The majority of games on Sundays will be listed at 1:00 p.m. ET during flex weeks except for games played in Pacific or Mountain Time zones which will be listed at 4:05 or 4:15 p.m. ET.
-No impact on Thursday, Saturday or Monday night games.
-The NFL will decide (after consultation with CBS, FOX, NBC) and announce as early as possible the game being played at 8:15 p.m. ET. The announcement will come no later than 12 days prior to the game. The NFL may also announce games moving to 4:05 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET.
-Week 17 start time changes could be decided on 6 days notice to ensure a game with playoff implications.
-The NBC Sunday night time slot in "flex" weeks will list the game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday night.
-Fans and ticket holders must be aware that NFL games in flex weeks are subject to change 12 days in advance (6 days in Week 17) and should plan accordingly.
NFL schedules all games.
-Teams will be informed as soon as they are no longer under consideration or eligible for a move to Sunday night.
Hopefully somebody with some inside info can drop it early.
I think we definitely moving to 3:05pm at a minimum.
Current Week 11 primetime:
CBS - 3:05pm - Broncos at Chargers
CBS - 3:05pm - Raiders at Cardinals
NBC - 7:20pm - Steelers at Jaguars
None of those three are very appealing BUT its the CBS doubleheader so i dont know if that will be an issue.

Steelers alone is a high profile team.
Saints and Eagles might be better option though.
We also play a Thurs night game that week against falcons...
Sunday night turn around to Thursday night... NFL might avoid.

I'd prefer to play Sunday at noon, go up by 150 pts by halftime, and put in the backups.

Yea but i doubt the NFL cares. I do agree that i would not want the night game. 3pm would be fine.

I mean, is a 7 hour difference really going to matter?

easy to say no but a game that the players don't get home till late sunday night kind of does affect things. They have a hard enough time making TNF work with a normal sunday turn around time.

I think being flexed to 3:05pm or 3:25pm on Fox is very realistic. Fox may opt to flex Vikings at Bears, as that would be the biggest threat. However, I think the Eagles-Saints game would be favored over that one.

You do know that we're talking about lazy television executives here and the Cowboys are an option.
They'll always pick a .500 Cowboys team vs. anyone over the Saints.
Another option is 2 3:25 games. It could be the Saints and Cowboys.

Awesome. So much more energy in the dome for non-noon kickoffs.

gotta bust out the color rush, since Payton's lost bet means we are wearing white.

Frick I hate 3:25 games.
But it also means more of the world gets to see our badass all white uniforms

Also, this bodes well for Brees' MVP consideration. He will now be playing 5 of the last 8 games, at a minimum, as the game of the week or a prime time game. I also imagine Week 17 Panthers vs Saints gets flexed to 3:25, as the options are below:
Cardinals vs Seahawks
49ers vs Rams
Chargers vs Broncos
He will be playing in front of a notional audience for basically the rest of the year.

The Saints made a terrible stink about that a couple seasons ago when they were the SNF game and had a quick turnaround for the TNF game the next week
I doubt Rog wants to hear Payton complain about that again
ETA: I believe both were road games too... at least this time the 2 games are home games

if CAR/NO has division title or home field implications in it... that'll be the SNF game for week 17
