Guaranteed money is paid out by the team the player is being traded from. The conversion turned the money into guaranteed funds and reduced salary number. The team receiving the player is only responsible for the salary portion for cap purpose.

Sean Payton will never trade for an LSU player. Kidding aside, fantastic acquisition

They traded for an LSU player last season

Unknown. All depends on structure. If converted into a roster bonus in the future, the trading team does not pay that bonus prior to trade.

Texans are converting $7.6 million of Bradley Roby's $8.972 million salary into a signing bonus in trade of corner to Saints, according to league source. Texans are expected to receive more than one draft pick in exchange for Roby, according to sources

To be fair it could be like a 4th and a 7th.

But yeah, I think there is a strong possibility of compensation that will make eyes pop on here.

They are getting a good CB at a very cheap monetary price at a position of dire need for the team.

Would hope it is not too high. He is basically a one year rental at 29 years old. Kinda like Kwon was when we traded for him.
