He actually played well before his injury this past year.
I'd just rather have the pick and spend the money on a Fa corner.
But, the fact that he wouldn't have a dead money hit would make it easy to renegotiate and limit the risk. Just needs to be a late round pick

They can pick a great CB in 2nd.

I think it is pretty evident that we're going to try and address it in FA.
Which I'm fine with, b/c we have other needs that I'd rather go after in the draft like a pass rusher, a linebacker, a guard, and a 3rd down back.
With the rookie contract structures, giving away good picks for a player that is going to cost $$ is idiotic.

I agree. We have had hits and misses in signing but we've missed every time in the draft.
A guy like Trumaine Johnson, Gilmore or Bouye is a proven commodity and will benefit us greatly. I'd rather Johnson though because he's 6'2 and he matches up well with Kelvin Benjamin, Mike Evans and Julio.

We wouldn't be due the prorated money in a trade. He'd have $0 dead money after 2017
It's actually a really nice contract to get in a trade. Reasonable ~$33M over 3 years with only $4M guaranteed in 2017.
I cannot imagine that the Browns would give him up easily.

I think the Browns would want too much. If I am going to gamble on an oft-injured corner, I would rather go for someone like Amukamara and keep the pick or go big after AJ Bouye.

Amukamara played really well in Jacksonville this year. I like AJ bouye and he would come hear well coached. Something about trumaine Johnson screams bust if the saints signed him

Please no. He was on the slow side coming out of college. I don't think he's gonna age well

Yes plz. He would shine a lot better here than up there.

Bouye > Haden. It's not even close.

Is that our "thing"? It seems to be our "thing". We love going after players 2 to 3 years after relevancy. Pretty sure that's our thing.

You're an imbecile.

First off, I'm not comparing Haden from a few years ago. Secondly, how is it not a financial no-brainer?

I like Hayden but without improving the pass rush it doesn't matter who is back there.
