Not a bad pick up most recently with the Lions.

Noticed we worked out a few TE's in rookie camp. Should be interesting to see if any make the cut

I guess this was a cheap camp option in case of injury.

He isn't taking a roster spot from Fleener and at this point I would suspect that Hooman and Hill would be ahead of him.

Too old for the Practice Squad.

Not sure if this would be the year to do it, but we've carried 4 TEs several times in the past, so he does have an outside shot if he blocks well and busts arse on special teams.

The bottom spots go to the best special teams players.

Dare I say, "A ybody but Fleener!"
Fleener can take his ability and contract and just leave

I think Hill will be the od man out. Fleener isn't going anywhere, Hooman plays the FB position in some instances and Hill is below average. Hill had his chance in this offense and has not produced.

The ONLY reason Hill will likely not get cut is because he's a core special teamer. I think Payton said he plays on every unit.

So if someone wants Hill's spot they will have to beat him out on special teams, which will be hard to do.

But yeah on offense he has been all hype. If people are hating on Fleener then Hill would be the worst TE ever, yet I never see people call for his head (and yes I know the contracts are different, but at least Fleener produced something).

Fleener was under 61% for targets to receptions which is pretty bad under drew. Hill's was better but also very limited sample size. Hill needs to stay healthy.

Flee error costs too much for his lack of production

Hmmm... running backs and TE's and a back-up tackle.

Fleener put up very similar numbers in Year 1 with the Saints as he did in the few years he was with the Colts.

okay.. yeah.. that isn't horrible news but he needs to take a fricking pay cut.

in my opinion.
