for having this game blatantly stolen from them. Game was stolen.

With the Rams stealing the NFC championship in overtime from the Saints, the league office will be under siege for the inexplicable non-call at the end of regulation that kept the Saints from running the clock down to the final seconds and winning the game with a walk-off field goal.
Rams defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman not only interfered with Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis but also applied an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on a defenseless receiver. Inexplicably, neither penalty was called. The non-call lit a fuse that burned throughout the rest of the game and will now explode.
Saints coach Sean Payton, a member of the Competition Committee, will be tempted to unload. And he should, fine be damned. Few horrible calls have had a bigger impact on the game, especially at a time when the technology exists to fix any and all errors that happen in real time.
It’s a shame that it will take something like this to wake up the Commissioner and the other stewards of the game, but if they don’t wake up now they never will.
They may have no choice. The scrutiny arising from Sunday’s embarrassment will be unprecedented, and it should be. There’s no excuse for such mistakes to be made, no reason for the available technology to not be used to fix there errors in real time.

Eh.
I’d rather those 2 “ referees “ be fired.

Can’t do that. There’d be nothing to stop them from talking.

Fire both refs and get two 1st round picks OR replay the last 1:45 of the game with the PI and helmet to helmet ejection implemented.

And during the game I thought the officiating was nice. Pleasantly hands off, for a change. But letting them play doesn’t mean letting DBs tackle WRs.

He almost took Lewis's head off.

Take them for the rams since they don’t need them . I wonder if the saints have any civil recourse in terms of a suit against the league?

The Rams didn't do anything wrong. They benefitted from a call that seems to reek of corruption more than incompetence but the db tackling the wr to prevent a score was just football. Blame the ref who was looking right at it. The db expected to be flagged, it's Goodell who has fostered a culture of corruption, favoritism based on markets, and petty personal vendettas.

I could actually see the Saints being awarded a draft pick as a token 'oops' gesture.

He hit him hard enough to knock his mouthpiece out.

Yeah the way he went down makes the non call even more incredible.
It wasn’t just obvious contact before the bail arrived.
The guy ran at a dead fricking sprint across the width of the field headlong into a receiver’s facemask sending him flying head over heels spinning like a top onto his shoulders and nothing.
That’s the type of play that everyone gasps when they see it just hoping the guy is ok, with the flag being a given.
Yet nothing.
Absolutely incredible
Is it just me, or was that no name defender constantly being shown during the postgame celebration?? It was rubbing salt in the wound watching that clown laughing and getting treated like a hero by his teammates.

Apparently he hit him $26,000 worth. How was this not reviewed?

I would take two 1st round picks over that, no hesitation. Grab a playmaker on offense and maybe another stud defensive player.
