Sure, they have the least attempts, but also the lowest yards and more telling though, the lowest yards per attempt.

Will be tested tomorrow night.

If by tested you mean demolish the girls then I agree. Zeke will be held in check. Dak will be sacked 3 to 5 times playing catch up and lose by at least 14 points.

Zeke will have 20-25 carries tomorrow. They will live by the sword or die by the sword. Or in this case live by the Zeke or die by the Zeke. If they get him going it will be a long arse night and be back and forth.

If they can’t get him going we’ll skull frick them

I’m tired of people writing off the saints rush defense. It works into the scheme of the team (long offensive drives keep the other team behind), but we didn’t get to #1 by accident. It’s not a fluke. The rams and chiefs have significantly worse rush defenses and almost as equally as high powered offenses and their rush defensive stats are much higher. I think people like to believe the common narrative “NO has great offenses but terrible defenses”, instead of looking at the stats.
This cowboys team isn’t like their 2014 team where their offensive line was so dominant that they could plow over the top rush defenses. Zeke will be a challenge, but this team will contain him, just as we’ve done to all the backs this year. If lattimore can lock down cooper, we can really give dak and zeke trouble.

The last few years we would stop a team’s rushing attack for most of the game, but always give up at least one huge run that would skew the stats into the average range. This year we have been very good at limiting those big runs.

Zeke is a good back, but if they are leaning on him, I like our chances even more. IMO, aside from fluke turnovers, for the cowboys to win, Dak has to keep pace with Brees and turn this game into a chiefs/rams game. Dak has maybe a 1-40 chance of doing that.

I do not think our rush defense is a fluke by any means but I also think the stats are a little skewed. The main reason is a lot of times defenses will end up giving up more yards towards the end of games on the ground and simply put no one is trying to run the ball on us in the 4th quarter. I still think this rush defense is top 10 but I think it would be a little naive to say the offense hasn't helped them out in being ranked number 1

Most teams come into games against the Saints committed to running the ball. They'll break off a few runs but the defense tightens down and get's the team into a passing situation that they can't convert. They then either have to go for it on 4th or punt. When they punt, we score. When they get the ball back, our defense is rested and fired up and we usually see another 3 and out, turnover or stalled drive and we get the ball back. By the time the other realizes it, they are down by 2 scores. So long running game.
If Dallas wins the coin toss they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. If they win and take the ball and get stopped, Saints get the ball after half and you know how they do in 2 minute situations. If they defer and give the Saints the ball first, we score and they are behind. It's a problem I'm glad we don't have to be faced with.

It's not a fluke. that's what the yards per carry tells you. If we can shut down Zeke, then there is no one else that poses a huge threat. We've already shut down Gurley and Bell isn't playing this year.

I may get really confident after this game because Dallas is going to try to run the ball tonight, I just don't see them abandoning it no matter the score.
