I'm glad to have him back. He's a great change of pace/fill in LB. Maybe the new coach can pull more out of him. Still need upgrades on the LB corps though.

I did not think they would be able to sign anyone until they are under the cap. Is this allowed since the actual cap has yet to be defined?

Technically this is still the 2014 season so that's still the contracts and cap being worked from. Even if he signs a contract for the 2015 season it doesn't go in effect until the new league year starts.
So basically he isn't under contract for the "current" year because the new league year has yet to start. Once it starts then we have to be under.

Also, great resigning. He has proven capable and I think he could easily take Hawthorne's spot until we get someone younger.
