New o-line and d-line coaches, secondary coach, and ST coordinator. Maybe Rex would want to come in and coach D-line.

He should be allowed to bring in his own guys for one, Vitt and Johnson are bums.

last year a lot of people where praising the new secondary coach.

if there is an assistant out there that I'd want, it would be Bobby April to coach the special teams.

he had a great year, then a terrible year... next season should tell the tale... we can make a decision after that, IMO....

He should be back. What coordinator could possibly win with the players Rob was forced to play? We can't punish him for doing such an awesome job last year that he made us forget how shitty the personnel actually were. Remember, these are basically the same guys who the year before Ryan made up THE WORST DEFENSE IN NFL HISTORY.

Give this man players so he's not forced to rely on smoke and mirrors defensive alignment because he has no athletes capable of playing straight up. And--yes--shake up the staff at the position coach level and fire whoever was responsible for scouting SJB.

Well if they fire him, then that means that Payton and Loomis made a mistake in hiring him, right? Spags they could let go and still save face for Payton, because he "wasn't there," as an excuse.

Do you think Payton or Loomis is going to openly admit to making a mistake or a wrong decision?

I think he stays. I also think there will be some minor tinkering but I don't see this bloodbath of assistant coaches that many people are clamoring for. Vitt, McMahon, Bill Johnson, Brian Young -- those are Payton's people in there and I just don't see them being easily shaken loose.

Maybe Michigan gets desparate offers him the job and his fat butt takes it. His defense never constant every year. Over rated he needs to be gone. The problem is we got a bunch of money loving kids with no decipline on this team and they don't care about winning they care about money. Rob defense has no decipline unlike spags who try to do decipline and the players response back like a bunch of babys . Greg Williams offered money for play because that's all these losers wanted was more money. I blame one person and that coach Payton for lack of control and discipline for the defensive side of the ball.

I have to say though, Drew Brees's interceptions and pick 6s hurt this defense in the worst way. This season, Brees's interceptions mostly came in the worst possible time.

He already showed he can have a top 5 defense with this group. I'd give him 1 more year. Payton goes through DCs like an M&M bag so it's time to give someone a chance who already proved himself. Being realistic the offense wasn't helping defense much this year although I do think scheme/coaching was a problem on the DC. I'm conflicted to be honest. Ryan is known for doing this with his defenses everywhere he goes and I seriously questioned his scheme many times this season. Something ain't right when players like KV look good last year and then all of a sudden are total shite.

I'm willing to give him a pass simply because this entire team was infected with a virus and it was a total shite show by every player on the team. I think the bigger problem is higher up but it will not be addressed so it is what it is.
