Why? IF it is him he's likely signing for the minimum (unless we are crazy enough to pay him more than that $6 mil mark) and he still played at a high level despite dealing with a nagging leg injury.

So in theory you could sign Revis to a 2 year deal with 10 million guaranteed.
Make his first year salary 1 million or whatever the veteran minimum is and let the Jets pay the other 5, then make year 2 worth 9 million.

Shields career is most likely over, he wasn't cleared from concussion he got in week 2 until feb..

I thought Revis already stated that he's not playing for less than 6 million. Why in the world would you go and work for the same amount of money you could sit at home and make?
