LINK

I'm hoping to upgrade our linebacking talent, but he's a solid rotational player and former starter (for the 49'ers).

Dude played pretty damn good when he was in the lineup. Was a huge lost losing him, Greer and Kenny V. That Seattle game would have been a different story with those 3 in the game.

As far as 7th rounders go the guy was a steal and i would love to bring him back. quality starter...phenomenal backup. at the right price by all means bring him back.

3.5 sacks in limited snaps and when he was in, he wasn't giving up many plays and making tackles on point.

A rotation of Galette-Butler-Haralson will be great

He's good enough to play, and I assume that he won't be too expensive. He's a good insurance policy to have in case we can't find someone better or injuries hit.

Definitely a guy I would like to keep. I have a feeling he gets a cap friendly deal.

He'll be affordable. He is a rotational player, but I like the depth he brings. Plus, he seemed to be effective when in the game.

I definitely like Haralson.

PFF gave him a +3.7 for the season with less than 400 snaps.
His strengths were in run defense and pass coverage, the latter of which is particularly important for this corps.

Not much more you can do on defense than that.

I like him. I hope we can get him back.

20 sacks would do it.

I concur, but I meant not much more we can ask of him than that considering his playing time

Would you have thought he played in 37% of snaps on Def.
Didn't seem that much. Hope he wants to stay. I can't remember him him whiffing on a tackle.

he plays smart, physical, and consistent. he doesnt make the defense special but he is a nice piece of what you want the foundation to be made of. I like the veteran presence of lofton, hawthorne, and harlason in our corps. i thnk for depth, for ability, and for the potential to tutor players on that side he is exactly what we look for in our loker room.

I have no problem with it...he was quietly very solid for us. Perfect example of the type of veteran guy you want on your team.

I think that would be a good thing. He was solid when he played.

As much as I like those three players, this statement doesn't mesh. Defense didn't lose the Seattle game.

Yep, what everybody else said. Seems like all of us armchair GMs are in agreement on this one. I say we keep him.

Like Strief and Meachem it will all come down to price. Maybe we can squeeze him in for a little more than the minimum but that's pushing it.

He's worth it but we just can't afford it when we have 2 starters(and 2 young backups) at that spot and bigger holes to fill.
