Man I hope we get him too!

dude wants 7 mil a year from what I understand, Loomis has shelled out big bucks for underperforming Dlineman like Grant and McCray, and Will Smith who has been decent at times, he's learned from those contracts, but this guy is worth the money!

laconfora blogs today...
The market for unrestricted free agent DL Cullen Jenkins hasn’t been as strong as many expected it would be. Jenkins is still looking for a team, as his age and injury concerns appear to be factors.
I’m told Jenkins isn’t in any rush to sign — free agents can’t practice with their new teams until Aug. 4 — but several potential suitors have gone in different directions.
The Washington Redskins had some interest, but decided to go in a different direction by agreeing to terms with DT Barry Cofield and didn’t get back in the Jenkins mix. The Dallas Cowboys also had some interest, but agreed to terms with DE Marcus Spears on a five-year contract worth roughly $19 million, so I’m not sure Jenkins is still on their radar.
We’ll see who meets Jenkins’ asking price, but a team to watch could be the New Orleans Saints.

still in the mix it sounds like

I would think that increased time on the market will play to the Saints' advantage. They probably can't offer him as much as other teams so the fact that nobody has thrown a lot of money at him yet plays in their favor. If it comes down to a million or tw0, he may decide to go with winning (ala Rogers).

We couldn't have paid 5 year 25 mil, though.

Philly must not have a salary cap.

They're about to not have a DeSean Jackson.

This is what I keep thinking too. Seems like they've signed too many big contracts. They must be back loaded deals.
