He’s not getting paid 20 a year unless he absolutely blows up in Seattle. That’s wasn’t going to happen with us.
He has an elite trait, that could have helped Shough develop. If we didn’t have so much dead cap from stupid Loomis deals, that money is nothing.
So yes talent wise, and draft capital wise, we traded Shaheed for Vele.

Vele has one catch in two blowout losses the last two games.
You can get any 6’4” scrub off the street to do that for min salary lol.

Yes we got decent value for Shaheed, Denver got premium value out of us for Vele. Both can be correct. We essentially traded Vele for Shaheed straight up because of Loomis’s cap management. You can argue it all day, but it’s a fact.

No id rather roll the dice on a top 100 prospect in the draft than someone that’s likely to only be on the roster two more years and then be 30 when hopefully the team starts to get good again.

Vele is cheap for next few years. You were going to have to pay Shaheed to stay. now you will have more money to spend on other players. We are in a complete rebuild. Shaheed is a luxury for a contender. It is what it is. loomis still needs to go

its not a good day when you get a 6th for a number one, and essentially got Vele for Shaheed. If you cant draft, you dont pick Vele in the 7th, U wait till the next year and give up two picks for him-Clown show
