What in the actual F has been their thinking? Everyone had to have known that Drew couldn’t throw the football anymore. Yet we consistently traded away picks in the draft to move up and take injury prone defensive ends. Payton realized that he and Loomis messed up, so he jumped ship to tv and then on to the Broncos

I doubt Loomis is smart enough to know he messed up.

He's seems to have no plan, and lacks decision making abilities. Just goes with the flow, as most below 70 IQ people do.

It's a franchise that I think, frankly, is moving out of town way before it wins another SB.

I would have rather drafted a 1st round QB in place of Davenport and Turner and if they busted, oh well, at least we were trying to find the next guy. Loomis needs to go and let Ireland be the GM.

This loser franchise has allowed this freakish dysfunctional "No Real GM" structure go on for many years and they won't change it, for some reason.

It's going to be "bean-counter" Loomis and "Who the Hell is?" Lauscha running the show. Ireland will be a real GM on some other team, not with the Saints.

I've been around since the days John Mecom owned the Saints and also around long enough to appreciate the importance of culture that is set from the top. Once Tom Benson came on board, the ship began to turn around though it took awhile. Now with him gone, Gayle Benson seems to be a disengaged owner and I would be surprised if any major strides are made unless they get a new general manager or, better, new ownership.
