Pats wait forever and ever. Don't need anything but know the importance of a pass rush so they take it. We desperately need it but will be putting it off for another season.

Pass rush helps coverage just as much as coverage helps pass rush. They work hand in hand.
We did a great deal to improve our coverage. We also added a pass rusher in Okafor, have one coming back from injury, and have a promising guy in Onyemata.

We are 4 deep at DE. Jordan, Onyemata, Kikaha, and Okafor.
Yes we lack a blue chip pass rusher. Barnett would have been that guy. Things went different. We also wanted Tak.
But you can't force a pick because of need. The value needs to be there. Right or wrong they felt the value wasn't right or had better value elsewhere.

in the NFL, a pass rush is much more important than coverage.... any NFL QB can carve you right the frick up, given enough time, no matter how well you cover them up at first.... eventually, they will find an open man, if you don't get pressure on them...

Lattimore definitely helps.... Williams may too... but it's not like we weren't better off, albeit, slightly, in the secondary than we were at our front 7... our DT's are solid, and Cam is Cam, but other than that, every spot could be improved... every single one... and we didn't do shite about it...
Okafor? c'mon man... you are smart enough to know that in the NFL if you have a good pass rusher, you don't get rid of them... Okafor is only 26 and was let go... and you think HE is the solution to what ails us?

I see no way you could complain about the Lattimore pick, dunno if you hated that one or not
I do want them to get someone who can rush the passer, but I understand these picks and how they went with value. Again, I know jack shite about Anzalone and won't pretend to know. I do see edge as a HUGE need, but they have also addressed other needs, and did so with great value.
