Off topic: I just saw Mike Smith on NFL Network and he said "We do the draft a little differently. We draft for need."

Yeah you can tell by who they usually pick and the fact that they build almost exclusively through the draft while only adding depth players and maybe 1 or 2 "big" FAs a year. They are definitely going OT or pass rusher.

One of the only teams that sticks closer to the building through the draft philosophy than them is the Packers. Too bad for Atlanta they usually suck at drafting.

Packers also do a much better job at stockpiling picks.

I think this would be a great draft for Saints...Make a couple trades to drop back and add another 2nd and pick up a 7th!

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 29 (N.E.): C.J. Mosley, ILB, Alabama
Round 2 Pick 26: Marcus Martin, C, USC
Round 2 Pick 30 (N.E.): Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU
Round 3 Pick 27: Deone Bucannon, SS, WSU
Round 4 Pick 29 (S.F.): Caraun Reid, DT, Princeton
Round 5 Pick 27: Cassius Marsh, DE, UCLA
Round 5 Pick 29: Ronald Powell, OLB, Florida
Round 6 Pick 26: Matt Patchan, OT, Boston College
Round 7 Pick 8 (MINN): Bene Benwikere, CB, SJSU
Round 7 Pick 31 (DEN): De'Anthony Thomas, RB, ORE

Okay your post in the other thread makes a little more sense seeing as you did this in the simulator.

Fact is the trade thing is completely busted on it and depending on which one you use the player values can be severely out of date.

You sir have created my ideal draft I think. Mosley is my favorite choice for the 1st and Matthews is my favorite WR in the draft. Plus we addressed center and replaced Sproles.

Why are so many people in love with Matthews? May I remind you that he is not Odell Beckham Jr.

He is built to be a #1 WR. He's big, fast enough, and was VERY consistent in college despite his QB situation and the rest of his team being way less talented. I am a big fan of consistency. I think it shows a lot about a guy.

If the Saints "reached" and took Matthews at 27 I would not blink. He would be worth it.

Totally playing the LSU card. As long as we don't pull a Lester and pick him up in the 1st, I'd be fine with it.

I'll bet you were one of the idiots last year that said tyrann mathieu would be a waste of a pick. OBJ has tons of upside - one of the most gifted WRs to come through LSU, and one of the more versatile athletes in the draft. You are confused sir.

Oh, and totally unrelated to the above comment: why are so many people obsessed with Martin in the 2nd? That's a reach based on the film I've seen and provided. He let Stanford maul him at the line last year. He's 3rd round talent at the earliest, and I highly doubt he'll amount to more than a backup on someone's roster his first few years.

No not at all wouldnt have been surprised if he went before the 3rd.
Beckham wasn't even the best receiver on his team, so he runs a good 40 and now all of a sudden he's a top 15 pick

I suggest you watch literally any game on him and you will see. Although I recommend the Ole miss game where he pukes and then catches a bomb
