So wait, you say the defense's ranking doesn't matter because its early in the season, and try to prove it by posting the offensive ranks of the teams we played...

Sooooooo WTF are you saying here? That early statistics only count when they go with what YOU are trying to prove???

WTF are you smoking?

We had the 20th ranked scoring defense and the 25th ranked defense in yards given up. 29th in sacks too.

Turnovers were the ONLY thing we did well in the Super Bowl year. The 2010 D was another story.

Besides being unbelievably opportunistic, there was nothing spectacular about that 2009 defense. At all.

And just for good measure, the year we didn't win the Super Bowl and "only" went 11-5 we had by far our best D under Williams. We ranked 7th in scoring D and 4th in yards given up.

Too bad we were down to practically zero backs, had a few key defensive players out, and had to be on the road of all places in Seattle.

They were a bad defense honestly. Turnovers are great but can be fickle.

never did I say the defense wasn't that good. Just saying lets keep things in perspective and not get too caught up just yet. Lets go on the road to NE, Chicago and Seattle and see how we stack up.

For all you nega-saints out there, before you bash our top 5 defense against "soft" opponents, consider last year we'd be ranked 25th against the same soft opponents.

improvement is obvious improvement

The Saints held both Atlanta and Arizona to their lowest point and yardage totals of the season.

The Patriots held Tampa Bay to less points but more yards, while the Jets held Tampa Bay to 23 fewer total yards but more points than the Saints.

this upcoming stretch after we finish with the AFC east, of Atlanta, Dallas, and San Fran won't be fun.
That's a tough four game stretch.

I think we can get to 7-0 though
