The Ringer released an article today describing every NFL team's relationships with their QBs. A lot of them are well thought out and lengthy, the Saints not so much. It's by far the shortest description in the whole article, but it is pretty fitting.

Until we find our franchise young QB we are always going to be a middling, edge of playoff type team at best and at worst we are complete shite because Carr is terrible and so is DA and our defense is the oldest in the league. Cam has been slowing down for the last 2-3 seasons but Demario finally showed the first signs of slowing down last year too so there’s potential for disaster if they take a step back.

Because there is nothing to really get. He’s not a long term answer. He’s just a guy getting paid well to be here for a couple of years. We needed to push his contract forward to get cap compliant so he will be here for an extra year or so.
He’s not particularly physically talented, he’s not a guy the team will run through a wall for, and he’s not a super cerebral dude. He’s an average qb that we’re stuck with for a couple years.

Shortest description because Carr is irrelevant. He's an after thought around the rest of the league. The average NFL fan probably has no idea who the Saints have at quarterback.
