ith that said, McCown played pretty damn well but 3 things let him down to lose:

Number one is his botched snap. Yall need to quit ignoring that.

Also, it is ridiculously unfair to give Payton a pass anymore. He, more than anyone other coach on our staff, should be on the hotseat.

You're doing the same thing. Pointing out only giving up a fg and the last stop, but ignoring how inept they looked the rest of the game.

I'm not ignoring that. I'm saying the offense sucked a-hole today. So did the defense. Both Ryan and Payton were equally inept today and both should be on the hotseat.

Not ignored, but if you think that lost the game...

Time for Payton to earn his paycheck and fire Ryan, bench Colston at least for a game, and to go back to the fricking drawing board and design new plays. They signed Spiller for a lot of $ so he needs to be way more involved.

3. Some bad play calling by Payton.

Not sure where I give Payton a pass. If I'm Benson I fire Ryan today if Payton doesn't and I tell Payton his arse needs to coach like the highest paid coach he is. The play calling is stagnant and not inventive at all anymore. He's also lost his balls. McCown played well and the O looked decent and maybe that's because Payton actually had to coach. But, like so many times before, they draw up a home run instead of so many other options. Over a minute left in the game and it ends right there.

Rob Ryan and his scheme are terrible. It is not the playe as much as scheme and coaching. Last year it was J byrd and this year it is Browner who seem to forget how to play football in Ryan scheme,

remind me of his last year in Dallas. Claiborne was natural man up corner at LSU gets coached buy Ryan and forgets how to play the position.

Byrd played in not more than 4 games last year - that is not on Ryan. How many guys who started on D today would start on 75% of the other teams in the NFL? As good as the rookie lbs are, they would not start. Cam Jordan is not a star DE despite what his salary dictates. Granted, WHEN Lewis returns and if he's recovered, he is a top 10 cb in the league. Vaccaro played very well, today, but is inconsistent as hell. Otherwise, the talent on this D is either hot arse garbage or rookies who have to grow.

When I was listening to the game in the second quarter it sounded like Vaccaro was getting smoked by Olsen. And it appears Browner and Colston looked like bums today.

I was lucky enough to be out of town this weekend and miss watching this trash.

Vaccaro made some nice tackles at times. I just couldn't believe they decided not to be more aggressive against Olsen.

I didn't see many blitzes but I was also blitzed watching the game.

still am I think.

good game for Luke until the end.

why the frick you take your shot with 2 timeouts left with a minute on the clock is questionable.

but that is easy for me to say sitting here talking shite.

No, everyone is thinking the same thing. Why is Luke throwing a 20 yard pass to a <6' WR in the end zone with over a minute left? And you know this is Payton because it happens with Brees too often as well. Need 3 yards for a 1st down? Let's throw it 20!

yeah, i mean if it works, hell yeah... frick the Panthers.

but I mean our defense got by on Cam's incomplete pass attempts all afternoon.

we never really stopped them much.

this is a terrible defense that couldn't stop Olsen when it was clear he was the only legit target they have.

pass rush only gets worse when we play a QB who has running ability.

this defense might look better on paper when the secondARY guys get back but the front seven will kill us when we face a real good offense.

we better hit on this Top 5 pick coming our way.

tired of these clown arse picks the Saints keep making the last few years in the draft in Round 1.

That was a great play by Norman. The only problem I have with that call is that lets say the Saints score on that play. Now Carolina has about a minute left to just get a field goal. Why would Sean Payton think that's a good idea?

Would like to give mad props to Mccown. Going on the road winless against a good defense and 6 inches from a game winning perhaps TD. Just a great job.

As to Ron Ryan is he just stuck with under performers or are than under performing because he's not putting them in position to succeed? Even bad defenses make occasional big plays.

I feel like there are good enough players on that defense for it to be good. If they aren't getting better by mid year they need can Ryan before he ruins them.
