There's still nine weeks of football left. I bet two of those teams in that playoff picture won't even be there come the playoffs. Just remember the road team has won the NFC Championship game the past three years.

It wasn't his arm strength last year. It was his grip due to the weather. It hit around 9 degrees during that playoff game in Denver. It's possible that his nerves could have recovered more over the past 12 months. If not, then Denver will be fricked if it gets that cold again. I think he'll be fine if it stays around their average temps for that time of year (30s). That game just happened to be on a ridiculously cold day

I would say it has a lot more to do with the shitty db that blew that coverage at the end of regulation. That probably shouldn't have happened.

It's so weird that you post on ST so much.

I'm sure Manning's two picks didn't help.

People forget that without Trindon's two returns, Denver loses in regulation relatively easily.

Of course not. But he would have only had one if not for that db. He has 3 tds/1int in regulation. Not amazing, but it was enough to win without that blown coverage at the end.

Trindon Holliday did return TWO TDs for Denver in that game as well.

And Peyton threw for 3. I'm not a Peyton fanboy by any means, but I think this board hates on him too much. He's an excellent qb, no matter what anyone says.

I thought he looked really good at the beginning of that game, but by the end it was pretty obvious something was wrong with him. I remember a specific pass he tried to throw to Decker along the right sideline that was just sad. It was less than 10 yards, he stepped into it, and the ball floated and landed a few feet short.

No disagreement there, he is the best QB this year.

I still don't say he choked like others like to believe.

Man, I wish i felt optimistic about us getting that 1 seed. I just don't see us keeping pace with Seattle the way they're winning games right now. They should have two more losses easily, yet are 7-1. I know we have two close could have been losses as well at 6-1, but this stretch coming up is gonna be pretty rough. I just hope the NFC West beats up on each other enough.

I'm not feeling the bye either.

I feel like Green Bay and 49ers/Seahawks will get byes.

I'm not a pessimistic fan at all, I just feel like that Patriots game will come back to bite us square in the arse later. We'll split with shitty Carolina and maybe drop a game or two somewhere along the line in Seattle or against San Fran.

On the other hand, I feel Green Bay or Seattle/San Fran will waltz along with an easy schedule and sneak ahead of us.

However, we do get division title and win the Super Bowl as #3 seed

Hope I'm wrong on seeding though.

Maybe Seattle can have a full on collapse..

I hope that game doesn't come back too much, at least it was against a more than decent AFC team.

Just remember all things in football are possible with Drew Brees.

The Saints better get that #1 seed bc they have never won a playoff game on the road. Doesn't mean they won't but they're diff on the road.

That Dec 2 MNF @ Seattle will tell a lot.
