coming up on the 17 year anniversary of when he tried to move the team to San Antonio, and Tagliabue made him stay here.

I’m not one to talk badly about the deceased…but I was a fan long before 2006. If he’s looking in on us from the afterlife, he’s probably lurking in our couch cushions, looking for loose change.

4 Year anniversary of his death...
I hate that he tried to move the Saints, but on the anniversary of his death, can you put aside the snarky hate and just bite your tongue?
He may have been "too shrewd" about chasing $$'s over "loyalty" (I'm a huge proponent of loyalty) amidst other flaws... but you show me the man without flaws (other than Jesus) and I guess we can honor him and just trash everyone else. By all accounts, he was a decent guy by man's standards, and today is a day his loved ones are just a bit more "sad" having lost a family member.
Maybe try to have just a tad more class and respect? Our world would a whole lot better with less snark and more respect.

I remember this always being what people said about him. The Saints suck cause Benson is cheap. Then I read that he actually spent money, he was just terrible at hiring people who knew what they were doing.
Like Dolan with the Knicks. He doesn’t actually get involved. He lets the people in charge do their jobs. He just sucks at figuring out who those people should be.
Then suddenly, they had a cap magician at GM, brought in a hot young genius coach, and a great qb no one else wanted. Also, drafted one of the most exciting college players to come around in a while.

I actually think we should paint our end zones WHITE with bold gold and black borders and word markings. Would go perfect with our permanent color rush all white home uniforms
