Remember we signed Kevin Mitchell from the 49ers and he was supposed to be the standout LB then Keith stepped up out of nowhere. Now they're both gone. RIP.

I definitely remember Keith Mitchell from when I first started watching the Saints. Great linebacker and a great Saint. RIP

The 2000 team definitely has a special place in my heart. My second season as a season ticket holder and LaRoi Glover, Darren Howard, and Sammy Knight were all really fun to watch that year. Big old Norman Hand clogging the middle. Mark Fields and Keith Mitchell made the pro bowl.

I remember a very athletic play when Mitchell went high to pick off one in the flat and took it to the house. I think it was against the Rams in LA.

Joe Johnson was a beast that season as well, 1st team all pro. Just a ridiculous defensive line. I can still hear who let the dogs out blaring through dome
