If the Saints win that game, does the Jimmy Graham TD catch go down as the second greatest play in team history, only behind the Porter pick-six?

it's a shame that amazing play will be overshadowing by a defensive breakdown

i think it depends on what they would have done vs. Giants. if they had gone onto the Super Bowl, then i'd say somewhere in the top 5, possibly 3 right behind "HAKEEM DROPS THE BALL"

Hindsight is 20/20, but I sure wish Jimmy would have taken a knee at the two yard line, so we could burn the clock.

no.

49ers run D, especially goal line, is too good. no mark, no pierre in there.

and the Saints all year have been pretty rough in the red zone inside the 10 yard line, i felt like. but maybe that's just me not thinking too hard.

The first thing I said after he scored, "shite, there's still 1:29 left."

Four cracks from the 2? I'll take our chances. You know that Sean loves to bootleg Drew out and throw it on the goal line instead of running the ball. It doesn't matter any way. It is over.

i've always said take the points, deal with the rest later. but maybe that's why i'm not a head coach anywhere

The saints/49ers preseason game? Because I've blocked any other possible game this year from memory.

When you need more than 3, take the points. When you need less than 3, take a knee.

It honestly never crossed my mind that they would go right down and score.

I figured Akers would end up tying the game with a semi-long field goal and we'd be sitting pretty with the new OT rules.

Drew was rolling so if we won the toss there's no doubt in my mind we get a TD. If we lose the toss, just hold them to a FG then let Brees drive for a TD.

Losing in regulation never occured to me until seconds before Davis scored. I was just paying attention to what distance FG they would be kicking, then i realized they were in decent TD pass position

Yeah, watching the replay, i just noticed that Harper whiffed on a tackle of Davis at the 40 on that last drive. Davis is a beast, but the tackle should have been made.

THIS! They are still not in FG range if he makes this tackle and SF probably plays for the FG. Amazing how many things had to go completely wrong to lose it.

he took an awful angle. obviously more hindsight, but he should he should have been further back to prevent a huge play and tackled him inbounds to keep that clock rolling. but it's all hindsight
