Reggie was most effective when......
....he was paired with Duece. The dual threat of the two backs kept defenses honest and made them BOTH better. The threat that Reggie presented kept defenses from jamming the line to stop Duece. IMO unless Reggie has a Duece type back to pair with, he will never live up to his expectations.
In 2006:
Deuce had 244 attempts, 1057 yards, 4.3 ypc, 16.3 apg, 70.5 ypg, long of 57 ( 6 >20, 1 >40 ) and 2 fumbles.
Reggie had 155 attempts, 565 yards, 3.6 ypc, 9.7 apg, 35.3 ypg, long of 18, and 2 fumbles.
Reggie's best wasn't when paired with Deuce, as it was the same as when Deuce was injured. Reggie's 'best' is when he's not running the ball and someone else is. This is why I keep saying Reggie doesn't need a 'compliment', since when it comes to running the ball, there's not much to compliment.

You say yourself poor run blocking is an issue. How does that equate to Bush not living up to his draft status? Bush has never been the cause of any woes, as a matter of fact I do believe he was a part of the most succesful Saints team ever, and he was a huge part of that.

Bush expects more pivotal role after Saints' offseason moves
April 5
Associated Press
FORT WORTH, Texas -- New Orleans running back Reggie Bush figures the Saints are saying it's time for him to became the main guy.
That's what Bush read into the February release of Deuce McAllister, the franchise's all-time leading rusher with 6,069 yards.
"They're looking for me to be the guy back there," Bush said Sunday while attending the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway with Red Bull, one of his new sponsors.
Pierre Thomas led the Saints last year with 625 yards and nine touchdowns. Bush had 404 yards and two scores. That doesn't change Bush's outlook.
"By the moves that they're making, it definitely speaks volumes to me as to what I need to prepare myself for," Bush said.

This is the make or break year for Reggie.
He's gotta show some signs of being able to run the ball effectively.

I saw this report yesterday on NFL Network while watching the NO-MINN replay. I laughed out loud, because the only thought that came to my head was THOMAS OUTPERFORMED YOU LAST YEAR WITHOUT DEUCE.
This guy's head is swollen like his girlfriend's arse

He is top 5 talent, but has not been used correctly.
If the Saints used him as our slot receiver, he would be all-pro.

What if they draft Wells or a significant runner? I wonder what he thinks that move will mean?

What do you figure the Saints were saying when they gave you that fat contract?

Where have I heard this before?
