Actually his PR yard is below average and he hasn't returned a Punt for a TD in 2 years.

If u are basing his ability on TDs, he should probably start producing more of them.

More fumbles than TDs.

4 out of 5 seasons his average per return has been either terrible or less than impressive.

Yea, sounds average to me.

Tangerine has based it solely on TDs in previous posts, which is funny since Bush basically averages 1(less than 1 to be exactly) TD per season.

So, he's above average because of 1 PR every season, despite the FACT that the rest of the returns are below average, and despite the fact that he will fumble more than he scores.

I'm a Reggie fan, but you are just being naive. 90% of his returns usually end up in zero or negative yards. He always tries to go for the homerun instead of what's given to him. That's what drives most of us nuts about him. Theres not one rational person who would honestly say he's come close to what everyone thought he would be.

I don't disagree. I was just posting some OTHER numbers.

you do realize his game against minnesota was against the absolutely worst special teams unit in nfl history??? imbeing serious. the worst special teams unit to ever play in nfl history. besides that game he has been below average as a returner.

Maybe so. BUt you don't see everyone else running for that many TD's on PR's

I thought Reggie finally had it down when he ran downhill on Arizona in the playoffs using his speed and moves downfield, then he regressed back to his old habits! Reggie has the abilty to run for lots of yards if he would do that style of running consistently, look at what Cris Johnson has done with Tenn, a back of similar size and speed, and that Charles kid for KC figured it out last year and look what he did!

He actually haa great preseason last year. I was really pumped about what he was gonna do once the season started. One could argue he didn't get alot of touches at the beginning of the season and even after he came back. The injury (once again) really hurt him again... Once he came back I didn't think SP really put him in alot of situations to succeed (screen game was a debacle last year), as alot of his runs resulted in him getting hit as soon as he got the ball. I thought he did a great job in the Tampa game at the end of the year last year. Then he got hurt once again. I just wish he could stay healthy one full year so we could see his full potential.

Find me more than 3 punt returners in the history of the NFL who do not have more fumbles that PR TD's

I pointed out captain obvious. That's all. Do yourself a favor. Stay out of any and all threads Reggie. It's good therapy. Start the healing process.

Not sure why, but you chose to ignore other very relevant points I made.

- 4 out of 5 seasons his average per return has been either terrible or less than impressive.

- You're propping him up for a play he makes less than 1 time per season.

How is that above average?

Pool the NFL players and coaches and see of they rate his has "average"?

Your still dodging it.

NFL players and coaches don't post here, I want you to explain how 4 of 5 seasons of subpar to woeful PR averages makes a PR good just because of less than 1 good PR per year.

Also, those same NFL players think Ray Lewis right now is better than Drew Brees and Vick is better than Rivers, so I wouldn't tout there opinions too much.

If he doesn't drop a sure TD pass against Seattle, we probably would have had enough momentum to hold off the Seahawks.

Then we would have had the Bears in Chicago, and possibly NFCCG in the Dome. But we'll never know.

The dropped td sucked but wasn't it like the 1st possession or 1st quarter when bush dropped the 3rd down would be pass?

I sure hope you aren't trying to pin the loss vs seattle on reggie. That was all the D's fault, we scored 30+ points, which is plenty enough points to win. Harper got torched a couple of times and the whole defense got run over at the end.

After he kicked a$$ in the 2009 Cardinals playoff game, he was a different player. It's like something clicked. Had a game changing TD in the NFCCCG and started last season with great energy. He is a hard runner now, IMO. Then he got injured. I think he is a vital part of this O. I for one want him back. I will forever see him holding that bat.
