Looking at the replay, Redskins didn't do anything wrong on that play, Ginn made a boneheaded move giving it to the Redskins player

Our ref today is Walt Coleman.

quote:

Coleman made an instant replay call on January 19, 2002 in a game that lead to it becoming known as the "Tuck Rule Game".

With 1:47 left, Oakland cornerback Charles Woodson knocked the ball from New England's quarterback Tom Brady.

It was recovered by Oakland linebacker Greg Biekert. The play was originally called a fumble.

Coleman reviewed the play and overturned the fumble call to an incomplete pass using the tuck rule, which says that "any intentional forward movement of [the thrower's] arm starts a forward pass, even if the player loses possession of the ball as he is attempting to tuck it back toward his body."[6][4]

In March 2013, league owners voted 29–1 to abolish the rule. Coleman has not officiated a Raiders game since.

We played like shite and they played really well and they're only up 4.

We have to have a 3 and out to start the half

I think the kick was unintentional

There was no kick Ginn gave the ball to Breland and he held it a second then dropped it. Ginn ducked his own team

The defensive back is allowed to kick the ball?

Ginn gave him the ball, he dropped it.

That's 100% on Ginn.

Saints are lucky. Redskins player could have tossed it a little further with no penalty.

The frick up happened with Thomas not B lining toward the sideline, then Brees spiked the ball and Payton wasted a timeout instead.

Gotcha. I thought a Redskin player hit it with his heel when he was backing up

Is the broadcast showing how much of a chach Swearinger is being? Dude is across midfield barking at our sideline the entire game. Payton even got into it with him before half

Still, where the frick were the officials? Ginn lay on the ground for a few seconds. Gets up, flips the ball to the redskins player, who holds it for a few seconds and then drops it. Still no official in view. Finally, a side official comes ove to get it. bullshite hustle by the officials. And why not review the play where Thomas came down at/near the sideline. Could have saved a timeout.

At least we scored points on the drive instead of them.

Oh and how about the redskins player throwing the ball after the incomplete to Kamara. I’ve seen that flagged for delay of game before.

We need this defense to hold. By falling behind they are fricking up our offensive game plan. Offense barely saw the field in the second.

Yea that first half was terrible. Should be thankful they're only down 4 points.
