Absolutely NONE of this means anything. So if Shough is the starter for game 1 of THE REGULAR SEASON will that prove that it wasn’t a waste of a pick. It could always still be a waste of a pick but were the Saints a 2nd round draft pick (or even a quarterback) away from being a superbowl contender?

this year? nope... but you draft well this year, take your lumps, come back and draft well and use your money wisely on FAs next year, and THEN you may have something... but we ain't doing that.. we took Shough at 40, who doesn't give us much more than Rattler, most of us could see that already, and now we will likely have draft a QB very high AGAIN, which means we wasted the 40 pick this year.. it's really simple roster management, honestly...
