Peat always seems to get a bad rep because he didn’t turn into the RT we drafted him for. I don’t see how anyone can think he was one of the worst guards in the league either. I watched him dominate his man time and time again. He’s not as good at LT but it provides immense value that he can step out there and finish a game at LT if called upon. The draft is weak on interior guys this year and we don’t have many picks anyway. The free agency market doesn’t have anyone better unless you think JR Sweezy is which is laughable. Cohesion is huge on a line so you want to keep all your guys together. Why mess with the best line in football. We have two young studs coming behind that will one day take over at C (Tom) and G (Clapp) but they aren’t quite there yet. In a crucial time when Drew’s window is closing you give him the best possible chance to win and having Peat is part of that.

I don’t put much stock into PFF. They also claim Warford and Unger to just be completely average when they most certainly are not. I’d rather judge with my eyes.

Any plan that doesn't start with "get drew to renegotiate contract" wont work.

Exactly. This is why posts like this that don't mention this at all are becoming tiresome. Dude can't carry a cap figure north of $30 mil into this season, simple as that.

Jalen Hurd

After watching what he’s done his last three seasons of college football (on the field), this kid would kill in the Saints offense. A 6’4” 220 lbs guy that runs a sub 4.5 40. He has running back feet for running after the catch. He shockingly runs pretty good routes for a guy recently converted to wr. With Curtis Johnson coaching him up, he could be develop into something special.
