Real insight on Gayle’s challenges

Sean Payton, Zach Streif and countless others let nuggets slip in how the Denver situation is far superior to NOLA. Her benevolence isn’t enough to save the Saints.

Even if we get a few nice things with Moore and the draft, NOLA has shown we can’t keep it together long. It would be nice to have hope for the Saints and Pels, but it’s a miserably failing city not deserving of its pro franchises any longer. We’re all pulling for teams that have the odds stacked heavily against them.

Payton relayed a story about his final season in New Orleans, when he was followed home by a suspicious car after one late-night game-planning session. In the early morning hours along the desolate side streets near his Uptown home, the car tailed him all the way to his garage. He eluded the potential car jackers only by bypassing his home and driving to the emergency room of a nearby hospital, where 24/7 security detail was present.

-City is based on Tourism…. but the crime is scaring tourism away.
-Public schools are crap and the laboring work force ability is very much below average …so corporations will not move industry to Louisiana.
-Oil field lost it on punch in the 1980’s.
-If the city doesn’t drown as it’s below sea level… the slow steady decline will continue.
-One day it might even be considered the Crappy Equal of Mississippi.
-As I was born and raised in Nawlins… it pains me to reveal the truth…but we must live in Reality and not Denial !!

New orleans is a complete shithole.

Are you comparing a city to a state???
Have you been to Coastal Mississippi in the last 5 years?
It’s already 10x better than anywhere in Louisiana.

What desolate streets is he driving down to get to his house uptown from Airline Dr...?

Sounds like it was a little dramatized...

Carrollton is no picnic after dark in Gerttown. Claiborne sucks as well.
There is no safe place as the city can’t protect the coach and owner.

Payton has a history of over dramatizing things. He is a look at me guy.
And if you are a man there isn’t anything to be afraid of in NO.

You may want to look up the word "desolate"...
You find desolate streets in the lower 9...

No one forced him to live in the city, if he felt unsafe, why didn't he move back to the Northshore? I bet he didn't have issues there...
This whole story sounds like typical Jeff Duncan's sensationalized BS..

When are we just going to get rid of this troll?
He contributes nothing.

As someone who was born in Pascagoula and visits the coast all the damn time to visit family, there is absolutely nothing better about the coast compared to metro NEW Orleans.
And yes I think New Orleans is trash also.

Ok….. following your line of thought…
Nawlins is already crappier than Mississippi.
Don’t you feel better now. :p

Also…. Payton is comparing Nawlins to Colorado.
Obviously, that’s a slam dunk comparison relative to wealth, prestige, industry and luxury.

Why did you resurrect a story from August 2024?

Gayle’s challenges
As bad is New Orleans is (it’s bad), this organization has much bigger problems and Gayle is at the top of that list.

And they wonder why we had to go to our 6th or 7th choice to get someone to accept?

I wonder what the political makeup of New Orleans looks like?

The 2 best coaches in Saints history had their lives on the line because of the spiraling crime in NOLA. It goes to show if you stay there long, the chances of being a victim and statistic are high.
