WTF are you talking about?
The Saints problem was going in for the division and coming up short. The Bucs are not doing that. If the Saints were dominating the division but just not getting to the Superbowl, it'd just be a repeat of the last 5 years of the Payton era. We weren't complaining about that.

i am in no way, shape or form saying the Bucs are a contender in the NFC... i'm simply saying they have more talent, across their entire roster, and are better prepared for this upcoming season than the Saints...

Sure they do. And that's really who we were going neck and neck with the last few years when the Saints were still contenders.
It sucks.
I just can't get past that though that they've had to wait until the very end of the regular season just to put this turd of a division away lately.
I think they consider us their biggest rival but really it's still Atlanta for the most part. I've always looked at it as whoever had the hot hand in the division. That's who you want to knock off the most. Sure. I hate Atlanta but when Carolina was really good and we were scrapping with them the hardest I wanted to beat them just as bad as Atlanta. If I'm being honest, I felt the same way about Tampa Bay when Brady came there.
I hate that they added to their WR group they built strength on strength there. For example, a team like ours who I think is probably going to be thinning the secondary. That's not good.
And they did the right thing you add more firepower if you feel like you need it. And you already are a good offense. Sometimes building strength on strength is the way to go.
But if they have to wait until week 18 to clinch this turd of a division again, then they'll get bounced out in the first round or make it to the divisional round and that's it.

nor did i say you did... you clearly advocate for giving Shough time to be the QB a lot of people, inlcuding me, hope that the FO apparently thinks he can be... but i'm unwilling to give him that much time, as he's older already, was never a "great" QB at any of his previous stops in his 7 year college career, and is proving the negatives from scouting reports about him right with what we hear out of practices...
in short, it's definitely trending in the direction that he won't work out to be our next, longterm, quality starting QB and that we'll be picking another QB, very likely in the next draft b/c of it... meanwhile, we could have just accepted the fact that outside of Ward, there was really no possible franchise changing QB, and not used ANY draft capital on a QB this year, rolled with Rattler (who is looking like he's going to be our starter, at least for the early part of this year, anyway), drafted some other player at 40 that could have possibly been a solution at another position, and then take a QB in next year's draft...

Their qb just led the nfc with over 40 tds with their number one receiver missing most of the year. We have no idea what we have at qb so it’s hilarious to even think we are anywhere close to them or being in a better position than them.

I really thought the saints were going to be smart this year and follow this plan. Pisses me off that we could have at least just taken Mason Taylor who is about as safe of a prospect out there. Has the pedigree and has performed on the big stage against good defenses and had our starting tight end for the next ten years. He might not ever make all pro but you won’t want to replace him like we would with JJ.

It’s splitting hairs after the Eagles in the NFC.
Save for Godwin’s injury none of those guys have given any suggestion they are slowing down.
They are exactly like the Saints if the Saints had a good coach and coordinators, drafted well, had a QB, had stud at nearly every position
