Look how enormous Rickey's shoulder pads are.

And as for the stripe, it would look fine on the Rickey picture if the Saints found a way to match all of their golds. Having a different gold on the helmet, number, collar, and stripes looks terrible.

to each their own on the pants deal but I really wish that the NFL didn't make teams break up the socks so when we wear all black we have alittle white sock at the bottom. just have one solid sock

Was It just me or didn't it look like Shockey had on some black knee highs like your grandma wears?

Didn't the original black pants have a State of Louisiana on the hip instead of a Fleurdelis? IMO the state looks better.

needs some kind of accents to make it match the jerseys. Right now it looks like a mismatched uniform. It just don't look right. Looks like a badly designed high school uniform or something.

fwiw I love our all black unis.. but I see how some people just can't get their minds past the fact that we don't have a gold stripe.

However, I don't like the thick gold stripe like the one in Rickey's pic.

Anyone ever think how it would look if we had maybe a thin gold pinstripe down the side of the all black pants? or two gold pinstripes about an inch or two apart? I think this would solve the love/hate problem our fans seem to have with these unis. The people who love the all black still get that feel but with a hint of gold. Peeps that say we need something more to keep them from looking like "leotards" would get the gold stripe they want... just not a big thick one. IMO I think the thick stripe looks cheasy and 1980's like.

Pinstripe, pinstripe, pinstripe. I think it's the way to go.
