just a little kuddo for PayLoo refusing to pay too much to get Beanie Wells. He injured his ankle for the second time Tuesday night.

Wells has gotten easily dinged throughout college. Chances are slim that will get better in the pros.

RelocatedPelican agrees about Wells, but thinks we should have gotten K. Moreno. (who is injured as well.)

Yeah big kuddos to them. They tried to trade their 2010 1st round draft pick to get up high enough to take him. I guess the kuddos are for the fact that they didn't try to give up more?

It shouldn't go unnoticed that this is the second year in a row that the FO dangled an additional 1st rounder for a player. Fortunately, they failed both times and the player we wanted came up hurt (Dorsey and Wells). One of these days, we won't be so lucky.

I guess you're right. Benson sure has a lot of patience; I would have fired his arse over that.
I don't know who is making the final decisions on the draft but things have sure been a riches, or rags, proposition. I think he's batting 500 so far (the Sullivan fiasco counts twice).
