Potential week 15 flex?Posted by WeComin504

Currently the Cowboys and 49ers are scheduled to play on Sunday Night Football. Will the NFL flex our game agains Kansas City into the Sunday Night game?

I would suspect and hope so considering those the current game is meaningless to the playoffs
ETA I think they have to get at least 11 days notice so we should know by the middle of next week.

It would depend if CBS has the game protected which they might.

I think someone said CbS has already slotted ths game as their national 3:25pm game which supposedly prevents NBC from flexing it.
I don't know the broadcasting rules. Just relaying a recent post.

The cowboys are technically still alive. But they are on life support.

you're probably quoting me
the fact that Chiefs/Saints is a 3:25 PM kickoff is me assuming CBS has protected it
and why wouldn't they... it's clearly the game of the day by a mile... maybe NE/MIA could end up being an important game... but other than that the week 15 slate is kinda lacking

As another poster pointed out, CBS most likely has the game protected. But, even without that the only 3pm games that week are Eagles @ Cards, and the Saints game.
They also have to schedule the Lions @ Tenn game.
Dallas is still fighting for the East, and the 9ers are still fighting for a WC spot. Both teams draw an audience; so I think they will ultimately keep the game as is.

I’d take that but it’ll probably be the 3:25 cbs game which isn’t bad

By MILES our game is easily the best.

They're one game back from the division lead

just to give more information
the not-the-Redskins have the H2H tiebreaker locked up over the Cowboys already (2-0)
Cowboys lost to the Eagles & play game 2 in Dallas in week 16
Cowboys beat the Giants & play game 2 in East Rutherford in week 17
and they play the Ravens next Monday night where Baltimore may still be without a lot of their starters due to the ongoing COVID outbreak within the Ravens organization
Exactly. Not sure why there are so many posters on here declaring the Cowboys/49ers game is meaningless and has no playoff implications in Week 12. Of course Dallas is terrible, it's between two bad teams, and Chiefs vs Saints should be the SNF game, but there is still a chance for the Cowboys to win the East

I hope not. I hate Sunday night kickoffs.

One game back in the nfc East is like 4 games back in the nfc south
