I only like PFF when they good things about our team.

But seriously unless you have people watching that actually know the checks and assignments, there's no way you can accurately grade football players.

And their BS metrics like "big time throws." Huh?

And I was listening to their podcast and what a crap fest. Bunch of unfunny inside joke banter and talking about their grades. Piss poor content.

One of the reasons they are loving Brees so much is because they give him a lot of credit for the OL not giving up too many pressures due to his quick ball release, play recognition, and pocket awareness.

By all means, explain to me how it’s complicated.

Reading stunts.

Knowing who's coming that is not supposed to be.

Being in sync with the guys next to you.

Being able to pull and when to release to get to the next level.

Footwork on how to counter a speed vs power rush

Hand placement.

Yeah. So easy. That's why the dumbest, strongest OL guys from Bama always turn into stars.

You forgot all the stuff about zone reads on runs (who needs to take who by reading what defender is attacking where), pulls and if there is going to be trouble coming in that gap and what defender they are leading into, how and when to double team guys, etc.

I mean the list can go on and on. Saying it's just beating the guy in front of you is so far from the truth.

And I don't care how quick Brees' release is, when that blitz is coming you have to make sure you know who os picking up who to not let someone come free (this happened on Brees' lone true INT; not counting that bs on Thanksgiving).

For him to have only been sacked once a game and be one of the least pressured QBs, that is a lot more than just him. Just look at other recent years.
