Saints O.C. Pete Carmichael is currently interviewing for the Bears' head coaching job, per league source.
Good luck to him.

I think he interviewed in Oakland and Indianapolis last year.

I know the bears want an offensive guy. Good luck to him.

Good luck to him. For his sake, I hope he uses the lessons learned from this season & puts them to good use if he does indeed get the job.

Love the guy, but can't really see him as a head coach, unless he has some assistant coaches that can get in the players faces.

Wish him the best of luck though

Funny thing is those aren't illegal under the CBA, which is probably why all the players punishments were vacated. Oh, funny stuff.

I'm gonna be different from y'all.

I'm gonna wish him luck, but still have reservations about his head coaching abilities.

Cute but I meant more in the lines of playcalling. Let's face it, the Bears are going to look at him be head coach & offensive play caller just like Payton is. Too many times this season, Carmichael went empty backfield or didn't help the OT with chipping from back or TE's. It also took him half a season to realize the value of a running game. If he does the same in Chicago with that offensive line they have there then nothing will have changed. Cutler will continue to get beat up, Forte will still gripe about touches, Marshall will put up huge numbers & the Bears will miss the playoffs once again.

Oh see kind of agree with you. I could see it getting ugly between he and cutler.

I wasn't sure SP was gonna be a good coach when we originally hired him, that turned out well. I hope he gets a job, and I hope he does well. That would be the third coach under SP to get a job
