Holy crap work on your comprehension skills. Uh Verrett in first round, Jarvis in second, and we still have our third rounder.

What role would Jarvis had played in the Saints offense? What does he bring to the table that we do not already have?

We already have our possession guys in Colston and Graham, but they can actually jump.

We wanted a specific skillset, not a receiver who completely lacks explosiveness. We already have guys who fit the possession receiver role.

Uh Verrett in first round,

So you want us to use our first round pick on a backup? Corners are a dangerous 1st round pick

I just have a lot of confidence in Landry, more than others because I've seen his best and know he will be a great nfl wide receiver

So you are making an uninformed decision.

The same Verrett that went at 25, when the Saints' original pick was 27?

Didn't you know? In an alternate dimension since we didn't pick up cooks, Verrett fell to us.

Dennard or verrett definitely fall to us if we don't take cooks at 20. Cooks hasn't proved anything yet so all this crowning him as a guaranteed talent is just bullshite. Landry has done just as much as cooks in camp and he would find his role in this offense just like cooks will.

What role would Landry have? What does he bring to the table that we need?

We needed speed and explosiveness at the receiving position. We already have better versions of Landry who can actually jump

Yet you crown Landry as a guaranteed talent oh my heavens, this kid here!

You do the same amount of guaranteeing Landry as half of the posters here guarantee Cooks.

Cmon man..the two teams most likely to have picked up Cooks were: Green Bay (not even likely since they have Cobb and HaHa fixes their secondary issue at safety) and Philadelphia (seemingly perfect replacement for DJax).

No other players were more needed to their team than what SD/Cincy picked

No it's your arguments and reasoning that are illogical. You're acting like we gave up something more than we did in your "analysis".

Verret went at 25. If they(and you it seems) wanted him so bad(or even dennard) they would've took him at 20.

They took the player with the most upside and fit for this system. Landry doesn't fit this system like cooks will. Landry doesn't have the seperation we NEED(remember how much that hurt last year?)

This "argument"

quote:

I have no problem swapping Landry for cooks if it gets me another first round player and my third rounder back.

Implies you'll get a similar value(which you wouldn't) in a player at 27. Who the frick was left at 27 that warranted a first rounder?

You're also acting like Lee/Landry would be fits for this offense when it's glaring to anyone with a brain they aren't.

They drafted a player that will have an instant impact. What guy in the third would you pick that wouldn't be a project for at least a year or has question marks?

Cooks will make this team better now. I could see your argument if we were rebuilding but that isn't the case.

Bump. Props to Greg Bedard for calling this a month ago. I know people will label this as throwing shite against the wall, but he was right. Champ was hurt this Camp, and was getting beat when he was on the field. I wish our local media had the ability to recognize things like this.

Haha, no need. I didn't look through the whole thread, but I'm sure I called the guy an idiot as well. If not in this thread, I know I did IRL. We were all so optimistic about the guy.

I wouldn't say that, fans just have to off of what is being reported. I think this is just confirma that:
1. Coach speak doesn't mean shite.
2. Our local reporters are terrible. A national guy came to a couple of practices and was able to notice Bailey's decline more than the local guys who are out there every day.
