Looks like he didn't get starting reps in practice this week. Imagine that.

Starting fights in training camp is the only thing that guy is good at.

Replay of Penning’s pass block that last series.

To me Penning is a failure to this point because of coaching or lack there of.
It’s well documented that he has everything you look for in a premier Olineman. His #1 and maybe only knock was his lack of his emotional control during games and leading to dumb personal fouls for extra effort in plays.
To date that hasn’t been his problem. He looks good at times (for basically a rookie) but a lot of times when he looks bad he looks lost and unprepared.
(Granted I can’t see this game but based on what’ll I hear it seem to be the case.)
The Oline as a whole is one of not the most disappointing aspect of this 2023 Saints team. They seem to have actually gone backwards from 2022 of you can imagine that. Not offense can succeed with a failure at Oline. With that said you can’t even bring up the other failure on the offense because you still came say for sure what you have until you can see them with some type of decent protection.

I'll admit I was wrong... thought Penning was decent the past 2 weeks and slowly improving. He is straight trash. See why the changes were made.
