nm, just realized this.
You've been a solid poster here too, for many amazing and wondrous years filled with unicorns, elephants riding tricycles, and the occasional wombat on steroidal hypocrisy.

Then sean has to be the stupidest dude on earth to spend this amount of bank for a house in a marriage about to fail.
If this is true about his marriage, they will eventually divide property and it makes little difference if you pay the wife cash or she takes the equity in one of the homes to balance accounts.

Uptown/Newman/New Orleans high life is better than anything Dallas can offer.
Some of the new rich are just too tacky and stupid to realize it. Payton sadly falls into that category.
Archie gets it. Sean doesn't.

Alejandro has been a solid poster on this board for a number of years. A lot longer than the 2009 New Money Saints posters on here. Yall need to dial down some of the hate.
I appreciate that man. Lots of these loud new dudes just don't understand me. That dude with the soccer chick and the phone in her cleavage is the worst. fricking tard.
I also was surprised that a lot of the old-timer posters NEVER got my back. Scared of the loud new kids IMHO. .

No wonder why they wanted to get out of Mandeville. Its horrible to live over there. The causway sucks and the area has no culture. And yes I've lived there before

I didn't think you needed it.
But I agree with clooney, for the record.

I never had an issue with you, Alejandro....but I am far from an old timer.

Dude, that's AWFUL! Doesn't mean it isn't true....
Maybe he just wants to shelter his family from the frenzy in New Orleans. The man is the coach that brought the Saints a Super Bowl win. I'm not sure who, on this forum, is from New Orleans, but I am. I also live in BR and went to LSU.
Take whatever massiah experience Saban and Miles have had and you can probably multiply it by five in New Orleans for this man. In Dallas, he (and his family) can blend in. He might just be trying to give his kids a normal life.
I have an old friend who said she and her mom ran into Brees in Audubon Park. He stopped to talk to them and take pics and all. She also said it was obvious that Brees was struggling with the god-like status heaped on him, but he understood the responsibility.
Every man has to take care of his family.

Payton’s Play It Forward Foundation released a statement:
So he promotes his book and his charity work and says Dallas is their hearts and their dream city.
Not a great way to cool the waters, at all.
quote:
“The Payton's are still connected to the city and its people and will have a residence in NOLA as well.. All of us have a place in our hearts that we want to retire in. For them it's Dallas. With a daughter getting ready to go into high school this was the time to make that decision. They have been there for that city and donated over 1.2 million to help and will continue to. Hope everyone will come to support their family decision and dreams and just be appreciative for what they do. I know their hearts and it is frustrating to hear people judging them on what they don't know. Home Team is an incredible book about the journey ALL of you have been through and his heart for that city and that team is not diminished by a move.”

As opposed to the culture in suburban Dallas?

You obviously don't live there or you'd know those people look down on people with real money. You can pretend, but you'll never be part of the club - literally.
Some of you need to get over your selves. He doesn't owe you anything other than his job, which I believe he's done a pretty good job of so far. I swear people in NOLA have such a delicate self-worth. You're all "this is the greatest place on earth", but destroy anyone who dares not to want to live there. I don't hear people in Indy carrying on about where Peyton spends his time, and I don't remember people in Green Bay bitching abuot how much time Brett spent in Mississippi. Bottom line: if he doesn't do his job, fire him.

One simple way for all this to go away -- Payton and Saints agree to contract extension through 2016 or later
Posted on 2/8/11 at 10:26 pm to purplepylon
could we not keep these Payton thoughts too centralized and everyone just start a new thread with their passing thought?
